The Skytrax World Airport Awards for 2026 have been released, showcasing the airports that travelers prefer around the world. While airports in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East still hold most of the top spots, India has a special achievement worth celebrating. One of its major airports has moved up in the ranks and is now recognized as one of the top 30 airports globally, marking it as the only Indian airport to achieve this status this year. The recent findings show that Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport has improved its ranking to 28th place worldwide, up from 32nd in 2025. This makes it the only airport from India in the global top 30.
