Tata Motors has recently introduced the Harrier.ev in India. According to a recently seen document, this electric vehicle is attracting a lot of interest from buyers, leading to long wait times for those wanting to purchase it. Specifically, this is the first locally made electric SUV in the country with an all-wheel drive (AWD) system, and it has a wait time of as long as 30 weeks (more than 6 months), depending on the model. The versions of the Harrier.ev with the longest delays are the Adventure 65 and Adventure 65 ACFC, both expected to take about 28 to 30 weeks, which is over 7 months. The Adventure S 65 and Adventure S 65 ACFC have waiting times of around 18 to 21 weeks, or roughly 5 months. The same 18 to 21 week waiting period applies to the Harrier.ev Fearless+ 65, Fearless+ 65 ACFC, Fearless+ 75, and Fearless+ 75 ACFC.

On the other hand, the higher-end Empowered versions of the Harrier.ev have shorter wait times. This includes the AWD models, which can be expected to have a wait time of about 12 to 15 weeks, or around 3.5 months. The models in this category include the Harrier.ev Empowered 75 ACFC, Empowered ST 75 ACFC, Empowered AWD 75 ACFC, Empowered AWD ST 75 FC, Empowered 75, Empowered ST 75, Empowered AWD 75, and Empowered AWD ST 75. The wait periods can vary depending on the dealership and location. Currently, the Tata Harrier.ev is available at a starting price of Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and can go up to Rs 30.23 lakh (ex-showroom) for the most expensive model. It offers two battery options: 65 kWh and 75 kWh. In its dual-motor configuration, the front motor produces 155.8 hp, while the rear motor generates 234.7 hp. For off-road capabilities, the Harrier.ev features six driving modes: Sand, Snow, Rock, Mud/Ruts, Normal, and Custom. These modes help adjust both how power is distributed and the settings of the suspension to suit different terrains.
