The infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang keeps causing trouble in Canada. On Monday, the gang took credit for the murder of an Indian-origin businessman from Abbotsford and for shooting at the home of a Punjabi artist. These events occurred just a day after police in Rajasthan arrested Jagdeep Singh, known as Jagga, who is an active member of this gang, in the United States. A member of the gang named Goldy Dhillon posted on social media stating that they were responsible for the death of Indian-origin businessman Darshan Singh Sahasi. The gang accused the 68-year-old Sahasi of being involved in a significant drug operation and claimed he had owed them money. When he failed to pay, they killed him. Reports indicate that Sahasi was shot outside his home in Abbotsford, British Columbia, early on Monday.

Initial investigations indicate that the shooter was waiting for Sahasi to get to his parked car on the street by his house. As soon as the 68-year-old entered his vehicle, the shooter opened fire and then fled the scene. When police arrived, they found Sahasi in serious condition. Emergency responders did everything they could to save him, but he ultimately passed away. During the incident, three nearby schools went into lockdown as a safety precaution, although no students were hurt. Sahasi was the head of Canam International, a well-known textile recycling firm. He came to Canada in 1991 and started with small jobs. Later, he invested in a struggling textile recycling business and turned it into a successful global operation. Sahasi was not only a successful businessman but also engaged in charitable work. His death has left the Punjabi community in Abbotsford and across Canada in mourning and anger. Many leaders in the community have labeled this event as a significant danger to the safety of Indian immigrants in Canada and have called for swift action from the authorities.

The second incident involving the Lawrence Bishnoi gang pertains to the gunfire that occurred outside the residence of Punjabi singer Channi Nattan. Gang member Dhillon mentioned in another social media update that the shooting took place as Nattan was getting close to singer Sardar Khera. Dhillon claimed that the gang does not have any personal issues with Nattan but warned that any artist collaborating with Khera should be prepared for consequences. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which Canada has classified as a terrorist organization, allegedly operates with more than 700 shooters worldwide. This gang has been involved in many high-profile cases, including the murder of rapper and politician Sidhu Moosewala, making threats to Bollywood actor Salman Khan, and being associated with the pro-Khalistan movement.
