Strong Winds And Bitter Cold Remain Across Massachusetts

The snow has passed, but the strong winds and icy roads are left behind the Massachusetts. The snow plow drivers have no choice but to keep on trucking, and some say that the storm was much needed.

Celio Dos Pass said that, “you look forward to it, because you make money, yeah not many this year.”

The other people who are excited about the snow are skiers and snowboarders.

Charlie Davis from Sterling said that, “we are going skiing, boys weekend,”

Worcester got hit hard from the storm, with near-whiteout conditions on the Route 9 for several hours.

One commuter said that, “even with 4-wheel drive we are still slipping and sliding especially around corners.”

In the southeastern Massachusetts, several communities had strong enough winds and poor visibility which officially declared this storm as a blizzard.

“I have got to do 17 miles a day, no matter what the weather conditions are and these are the worst weather conditions that I have had to do,” , who is doing a Forrest Gump trek across America, said as the wind chills dropped below zero in Quincy.

The storm moved from the west to east, starting and ending last in the northern Middlesex and Essex Counties.

“I just wish this wind would die down. It is tough blowing in the wind,” Doug Fox from Reading said.

Many people had to spend their time outside for clearing off their cars and shoveling the driveway, but in the Revere, one person decided to enjoy the waves and go for kite surfing.

The sun might come up on Friday, but temps are not expected to warm up. To make the matters worse, the FOX25 StormTracker Weather team is already looking out at the storm which headed our way this weekend.
