British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is on a two-day visit to India and he met his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi yesterday. The duo discussed about the ties and various other issues. Boris said that India is clear on bringing Russia out of Ukraine. Narendra Modi and Boris Johnson held talks on bilateral ties and they decided to work together on the security partnership in land, air, sea. They have discussed about the collaboration on maritime electric propulsion systems for ships and co-development of jet and fighter aircraft engines. Boris Johnson wrapped up his two-day tour and flew back to UK. He called it historic ties between Russia and India and everyone respects India for that.

Narendra Modi said that India is stressed on diplomacy and dialogue for immediate ceasefire resolution. "We respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of all the countries of the globe. We have signed the bilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and it should be clinched by Diwali and the double bilateral trade by the end of this decade. The teams of India and the UK are working on the subject of FTA. There is good progress after the negotiations. There would be several conclusions by the end of this year. India also concluded Free Trade Agreements with Australia and UAE. We will work with the same commitment with the UK on the FTA" told Narendra Modi.
