The launch date for Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone has finally been revealed. This device was first announced during the Galaxy Unpacked event in January, followed by a presentation at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona in March. The company has officially confirmed when it will be launched and has shared some of its features. The forthcoming Galaxy S25 Edge is being marketed as the slimmest flagship device to date. It is expected to be released alongside the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. The global launch is scheduled for May 13 at 9 am KST (05:30 am IST), as stated in a press release from the company. Samsung has asserted that this will be the thinnest model in the Galaxy S series and will include features powered by Galaxy AI. Additionally, the new smartphone will boast a 200-megapixel primary rear camera, akin to the top-tier Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Previous leaks have indicated that the price for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge could be set at EUR 1,249 (approximately Rs. 1,19,000) for the 256GB version and EUR 1,369 (around Rs. 1,30,000) for the 512GB variant. It is likely to come in color options such as Titanium Jetblack, Titanium Icyblue, and Titanium Silver. Following the trend of the existing Galaxy S25 models, it is anticipated that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor paired with 12GB of RAM. It will likely run on Android 15 with One UI 7 and feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,120 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

The anticipated dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge are 5.85mm in thickness and a weight of 163g. It may feature a titanium frame along with glass panels on both the front and back, utilizing Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection. The device is expected to hold an IP68 rating, which signifies it will be resistant to dust and water, and include an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for secure access. In terms of photography capabilities, in addition to the 200-megapixel main camera, it is likely to include a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens on the rear and a 12-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. The smartphone might also incorporate a 3,900mAh battery and offer connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
