Justin Bieber, the Canadian crooner, is back in news and for another wrong reason! The19-year-old pop star has been hauled into court by a paparazzo for alleged assault and battery over a parking lot tiff in May 2012.
The lawsuit, filed on Wednesday, claimed that the “Baby” music sensation kicked and punched Jose Osmin Hernandez Duran during a sudden confrontation. Bieber had gone to The Commons in Calabasas for a movie date with his then-girlfriend, Selena Gomez.
Duran alleged that Bieber was leaving the mall on his Mercedes when he suddenly jumped out of his car and ran towards him. He sprinted 8 feet (2.4 meters) up in the air and delivered a kick on his gut before landing a severe blow on his face.
The suit solicits unknown damages for "severe and extreme emotional distress" and carelessness.
Bieber was not available for comment.
